Core/shell structured metal halide perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) are emerging as a type of material with remarkable optical and electronic properties. Research into this field has been developing expanding rapidly in recent years, significant advances the studies shell growth mechanism understanding properties these materials. Significant enhancement both stability performance core/shell NCs particular importance for their applications optoelectronic technologies. In review, summarized. The band structures configurations elaborated, classification engineering approaches, such perovskites derivative shells, semiconductor shell, oxide polymer etc. reviewed, mechanisms discussed. prospective lighting displays, solar cells, photodetectors, other devices is discussed light current knowledge, remaining challenges, future opportunities.
